Erin is an established producer and executive with over 20 years of experience in development, production and independent film financing.
Responsible for building and maintaining Penchant’s ongoing development slate, Erin has worked with Oscar, Emmy and Pulitzer nominees on a wide range of films, from high-grossing studio hits including THE DAY AFTER TOMORROW and THE GRUDGE franchise, to critically-acclaimed independent features such as THE MATADOR, starring Pierce Brosnan and Greg Kinnear, and THE HOAX, directed by Lasse Hallstrom, starring Richard Gere and Alfred Molina.
Erin previously served as Vice President of Production at Morgan Creek Productions, Vice President of Taka Ichise's Ozla Pictures and as a production executive at Mark Gordon's independent film-financing venture, Stratus Film Company. Erin began her entertainment career on the sets of several feature films before landing an assistant job at the Broder Kurland Webb Uffner agency.
Erin is a graduate of Northwestern University.
CHASE HUDSON, p.g.a.
Chase is a ten-year veteran producer and line producer with expertise in independent financing structures and maximizing the value of location-based film incentives.
Responsible for structuring the financing and overseeing production of Penchant projects, Chase generates production budgets, schedules and performance models that provide Penchant the ability to assess financial viability of potential projects from the earliest stages.
Accustomed to wearing many hats, Chase has structured and closed financing, produced, line-produced and secured domestic distribution for several independent films, including THE LAST RESORT, HIJACKED and BLOODWORK.
Chase spent his early career working as a production accountant and coordinator on a variety of films, including HE WAS A QUIET MAN, starring Christian Slater and William H. Macy and REACH FOR ME, directed by Levar Burton, starring Seymour Cassel and Alfre Woodard.
Chase is a current member of the Producer’s Guild of America and a graduate of the University of Mississippi.
MATTHEW PORTER, MBA
Matt is an entertainment executive and entrepreneur, responsible for the overall business and financial strategies of Penchant Entertainment.
Before securing the company's initial funding, Matt worked across the entertainment industry at companies including Valhalla Entertainment (THE WALKING DEAD), Ozla Pictures (THE GRUDGE) and Morgan Creek Productions (THE THING), building the invaluable network of relationships with film financiers, distributors and sales executives he now brings to Penchant Entertainment.
As an entrepreneur, Matt has a history of identifying and engaging in profitable investment opportunities, most recently taking a chance on a start-up apparel company that has since become the official supplier of Formula E Racing.
Matt holds an MBA from the UCLA Anderson School of Business and is a graduate of Ohio State University.
